The PM-KISAN 24th instalment was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Banaskantha, Gujarat, on 30 October 2026, sending more than Rs 18,690 crore directly to the bank accounts of over 9.34 crore farmers, according to a PIB backgrounder and the Rajasthan government’s information department.

How the PM-KISAN 24th instalment was paid
The money was transferred through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, which PIB says ensures transparency and removes intermediaries. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, each eligible landholding farmer family gets Rs 6,000 a year in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000, paid into Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts. The scheme was launched on 24 February 2019. PIB says more than Rs 4.64 lakh crore has now been paid to farmer families across 24 instalments. Benefits reach farmers only after their land records are seeded on the PM-KISAN portal, their bank accounts are linked to Aadhaar and their e-KYC is complete, so farmers who did not get the money should check these three steps on the official portal. PIB says state governments identify eligible farmers and upload their details; the system validates Aadhaar and bank details, PFMS verifies accounts, and payments are routed through sponsor banks and NPCI. Beneficiary lists are displayed at village level so that farmers left out can seek inclusion through grievance channels.
