VISV-2026 (Vision, Innovation, Synergy, Values), organised by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) with the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS), was inaugurated by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi on 30 October 2026, the Defence Ministry said.

What VISV-2026 was about
The event, themed “Showcasing Defence Capabilities, Strengthening Global Partnerships”, featured a seminar on “DRDO Defence Solutions for Partner Nations: From Technology to Strategic Partnerships”. Seth described the four pillars of VISV as guiding principles: vision gives direction for future defence needs, innovation turns research into working technologies, synergy brings together the armed forces, research bodies, industry and foreign partners, and values anchor cooperation in trust and mutual respect. He said India is committed to building a technologically advanced, self-reliant defence ecosystem on the way to Viksit Bharat @ 2047, and that self-reliance will let India contribute more to international partnerships. He acknowledged DRDO’s contribution to strengthening indigenous defence capabilities and the growing role of Indian scientists, engineers and industry in developing advanced defence technologies, and stressed turning research into effective solutions for emerging defence challenges. He also highlighted the role of Atmanirbhar Bharat in strengthening indigenous research, design, development and manufacturing.
